Product Overview

The 1118010 coolant thermostat is a direct replacement component built for Caterpillar diesel engines. It controls the circulation of coolant between the engine block and the radiator to help the engine reach and stay at its proper operating temperature. When the engine is cold, the thermostat stays closed to speed up warm-up and reduce internal wear. Once the coolant reaches 175°F, the valve opens to allow full flow through the radiator, preventing overheating and supporting consistent engine performance.
